Tanino Ristorante Bar

You can easily be amazed and you may even think you’re in Sicily, when you gaze upon the magnificent Italianate Renaissance-type building that is located at 1043 Westwood Boulevard, which is the Tanino Ristorante Bar. If you are impressed (as you should be) with the outside, wait till you see what is on the inside!

The architectural design of the structure blends so wonderfully with the cuisine it is hard to believe that it was not originally created for it. It opened in 1998 and is owned by Chef Tanino Drago.  He combines his family heritage, authentic Sicilian culinary education, and his own special touches to offer you with a very special and unique dining experience. This is definitely a night you will remember for a very long time.

The Setting

This stunning building was designed by Paul Revere Williams and built in 1929 to resemble the glamorous Pitti Palace in Florence, Italy.  The structure combined with the food and the elegant atmosphere is something to behold. No detail was left out in the creating of this exquisite restaurant.

The inside is even more impressive with all of the rich details such as the elaborately frescoed ceilings, numerous wall-murals, carvings, artisan plaster, marble flooring, dark hardwoods, chandeliers, columns, sweeping staircase, fireplace, and much more. It truly creates the perfect setting for a family gathering or a very romantic candlelit dinner just for two.
